Last month after finishing up with the Philadelphia Flower Show our EMY Family team joined me for the first time with the Society of American Florists (an organization I love and respect a lot) for Congressional Action Days on the Hill at the Capitol Building. Every year at the beginning of spring we go to Congress and bring attention to issues in the floral industry that help to support the small businesses, local farmers, and growers in the industry. Issues like GSP Agriculture labor and more are important to the flower shops you purchase from. They are only two companies representing New York Us from EMY Custom Flowers and Alders Wholesale

Activists and lobbyists like myself are hoping to get more support from Congress and hoping for them to pass appropriations on the matters that concern the flower industry.

Last week some dear friends lost their mom, and we were so honored they chose us for their personal Funeral flowers / Sympathy flowers: casket flowers, rosary, and broken heart spray. During the eulogy, I was touched by how the grandkids spoke of her and how she would always make everyone feel special. They said, “She always had a place for anyone, no matter what time of day it was”.
This family celebrated their Mom, Grand Ma (Nanny), and Great Grandma while she was living and while she was being laid to rest.

Covid Guidelines

At EMY we make sure to wear gloves and mask while working with our flowers and on our deliveries. Your safety is very important to us. When flowers come in from shipment, we condition them using a floral solution and bleach to kill off any bacteria while feeding and hydrating the florals. Our work area is continuously cleaned and sanitized. We work with suppliers that provide quality flowers and supplies and who uphold the same standards as we do.

 Our Deliveries have also changed no more in person deliveries or pick up. We are practicing no contact deliveries and pick up will be done by appointment. Mask and gloves are worn during this process.

In 2021 things have changed so please keep you and your loved ones safe by wearing your mask and social distancing..
